Cartoon Heart will be returning to TV with a new series titled Aquaman, a show that will focus on the character of the character and how he came to be.
The show will follow a young man named Jason who is a gifted inventor who is thrust into a world of crime and violence after the events of the comic book series “Aquacart.”
It’s unclear at this time what role Aquaman will play in the series, but Cartoon Heart executive producer John Sutter told EW that the show will be more of an origin story than a follow-up.
The creator-starrer is being produced by Jeph Loeb’s Gotham TV.
The first season of Aquaman aired on Cartoon Network in the United States in 2015, and it’s currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
The series is scheduled to premiere on January 14.
